Dr Tarada Speaks at ‘Sustainable Datacentre Design and Operation’ Forum

Dr Fathi Tarada of Mosen Ltd delivered a presentation on 17 February 2011 at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ headquarters in London entitled ‘Close Coupled Cooling for Data Centres’ . The presentation considered

• Traditional down-flow computer room air conditioning (CRAC) systems
• Alternative strategies of employing close-coupled cooling for data centres with high heat densities
• Recent product innovations in close-coupled cooling for data centres
• CFD simulations of air-flow and temperatures in datacentres with close-coupled cooling

Fathi Tarada is the Managing Director of Mosen, a specialist consultancy in Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD), Fire Safety Engineering and Tunnel Ventilation. He has been involved in the development of innovative technologies for data centre cooling, and has supported clients in major data centre R&D and installation projects.
