The World Road Association (PIARC) has just published a briefing note and a set of case studies on improving road tunnel resilience, considering safety and availability. Dr Fathi Tarada was a member of the working group which wrote the new report, and was an author of the case study regarding the New Tyne Crossing. The report can be downloaded here.
