Experience from recent fires in the Dartford Tunnel in London has suggested that delaying or even avoiding the activation of ventilation can actually enhance life safety in some tunnel fire scenarios. Dr Fathi Tarada will address this controversial subject in the context of a review of current guidance at the forthcoming Tunnel Design & Construction Summit being held in Berlin on 2-3 March 2017.
