New International Road Tunnel Ventilation Standard Published

The World Road Association (PIARC) has just published a new standard on “Road Tunnels: Vehicle Emissions and Air Demand for Ventilation“, for which Dr Fathi Tarada of Mosen Ltd acted as a peer reviewer. The standard provides emission rates and an assessment methodology to support the tunnel ventilation designer in establishing the minimum fresh-air demand for adequate in-tunnel air quality.
